Minutes of the Meeting held on 18 December 1968 at Cardiff
 A Meeting was held on December 18th 1968 at University College
Cardiff to discuss the formation of 'An ESR Group of the Chemical Society'. The
discussion was led by Professor A.G. Evans and a motion to form an ESR group of
the Chemical Society was supported by 35 Fellows and 60 Non-Fellows.
It was resolved to seek permission from the Chemical Society to form the
Group. The meeting elected the following Caretaker Committee:
- Professor W.A.Waters, Chairman
- Professor A.G.Evans, Vice Chairman
- Professor R.O.C.Norman
- Dr N.Atherton
- Professor A. Carrington
- Professor E.de Boer
- Dr A. Horsfield
- Dr J.C.Evans, Secretary/Treasurer
It was resolved that the next ESR Group meeting should be had at SOUTHAMPTON
UNIVERSITY in SEPTEMBER 1969 with the AUTUMN MEETING of the Chemical Society
subject to the group obtaining official Status from the Chemical Society.
Permission to form the Group was obtained from the Chemical Society in
February 1969. From that date the Group became official with the following
title:
